Building strength with the rest of the plan taken care of

Louis Garoz · Founder and deal maker

Louis Garoz

The starting point

Louis had spent much of his life as an athlete and martial artist. When his training stopped during the pandemic, he turned his attention to his business. A couple of years passed with little exercise, and he no longer felt in the physical condition he had once taken for granted.

Even during his earlier competitive years, he says he had never followed much of a structured training or nutrition plan. Sessions were often decided on the day. By the time he joined Optimability in May 2023, his sleep was inconsistent and he wanted to rebuild the habits he had lost.

Accountability was a major reason he reached out. Louis felt that motivation could only take him so far once momentum had disappeared. He wanted someone to push him, help him follow through, and hold him to the standard he had set for himself.

The support around him

Training became something Louis could follow consistently rather than decide from scratch each day. Rebuilding his physical condition had a clear place alongside the demands of running his business.

Nutrition and the wider routine were considered together with his training. He describes the value of having the everyday details handled instead of treating a workout plan as the whole solution.

Ongoing support gave him the accountability he had been looking for. There were people helping him stay with his commitments when motivation alone might not have been enough.

Louis also valued the team’s availability beyond scheduled work. When a health-related question came up, he had someone to turn to, and he says that willingness to help was one of the most surprising parts of the experience.

In his own words

I am the strongest I have ever been and in the best shape of my entire life and it is all taken care of for me.

Louis recalls returning to competition about six months after starting. Looking back over the following year, he describes becoming stronger and reaching what he considers the best physical shape of his life.

The change mattered to him beyond training. Following through on a commitment to himself gave him confidence that he felt in how he spoke with his team, handled calls, taught, and appeared on camera. He describes that connection as a personal experience, not a measured business outcome.

He also points to the peace of mind of having support in place. The routine no longer required him to manage every small task, and he knew he could ask for help. In his account, feeling physically capable and having those details taken care of were both important parts of the result.
